My First Piano Adventures
Ages 5 & 6
Written for ages 5 and 6, My First Piano Adventure captures the child’s playful spirit. Fun-filled songs, rhythm games, and technique activities develop beginning keyboard skills.

The Primer Level’s A, B, and C
introduce young beginners to the keyboard, note values, and the grand staff. Students play in C 5-finger scale patterns, develop recognition of steps and skips, and learn letter names independent of finger number. Musicianship is built through the use of dynamics and coloristic experimentation with the pedal.

Piano Adventures
Primer Level
Ages 7-11
The Primer Level introduces young beginners to the keyboard, note values, and the grand staff. Students play in C 5-finger scale patterns, develop recognition of steps and skips, and learn letter names independent of finger number.

Adult Piano Adventures
All-In-One Piano Course
Level 1
Adult Piano Adventures enables the adult beginner to play music for pleasure while developing musical understanding. This comprehensive, “All-In-One” book includes lessons, technique, and theory in a single volume for ease of use.
In Book 1, Students learn fundamentals of music notation, chord playing, and musical form. The redesigned layout improves information hierarchy, putting focus on key concepts and step-by-step learning.
Online access to audio and video support is included. Two supplementary repertoire books provide the best of popular and classical music for extended learning and fun.
Piano Adventures
Primer through Level 5
Ages 7 and up
Beginning students ages 7 to 11, start at the Primer Level and progress through the eight levels of the basic edition (Primer through 5). Students work through the correlated Lesson, Theory, Technique & Artistry, and Performance Books work together to support the whole musician. Other supplemental books enhance students skills and enjoyment.

Piano Adventures
Level 1
Ages 7-11
Level 1 introduces all the notes of the grand staff, elementary chord playing, and the concept of tonic and dominant notes. Students play in varied positions, reinforcing reading skills and recognizing intervals through the 5th. Musicianship is built with the introduction of legato and staccato touches.
This level continues the interval orientation to reading across the full range of the Grand Staff. The 5-finger approach is presented here in a fresh, musically appealing way.

Adult Piano Adventures
All-In-One Piano Course
Level 2
Adult Piano Adventures enables the adult beginner to play music for pleasure while developing musical understanding. This comprehensive, “All-In-One” book includes lessons, technique, and theory in a single volume for ease of use.
In Book 2, Adult Piano Adventures is a convenient “All-In-One” volume that offers carefully sequenced instruction in note reading, music theory and piano technique.
Its appealing new design clearly introduces concepts such as triad inversions, 3/8- and 6/8-time signatures, 16th-note rhythms, connected pedaling, and major and minor scales, plus a special focus on chord playing with lead sheets of familiar songs.

At the completion of Adult Book 2, students are ready to move into Level 3B of Piano Adventures.
Accelerated Piano Adventures
Ages 11 and up
Accelerated Book 1 covers fundamental rhythms, all the notes of the grand staff, C position, G position.

Accelerated Book 2 covers Major and minor pentascales, intervals through the 6th, and C, G, and F major scales.
​
Students learn and develop the same skills as younger students of Piano Adventures from the Primer through Level 2B, but in a format suitable for their age group.

At the completion of Accelerated Book 2, students are ready to move into Level 3A of Piano Adventures.

Piano Adventures
Level 2A
Ages 7-11
Level 2A introduces eighth notes and includes C, G, D and A major and minor 5- finger positions. Transposition and functional harmony skills are introduced and presented in highly musical settings.
Level 2A follows Level 1 and continues an intervalic orientation to reading through a musically appealing multi-key approach.

Piano Adventures
Level 3B
Ages 7-11
Level 3B is a fresh, dynamic update for early-intermediate students. This is the level of contrasts: fast fingerwork contrasted with sonorous tonal colors, and traditional harmonies mingled with contemporary sounds. Compositions from Dvorak, Rebikov, and Liszt are included along with new Faber originals. Concepts include the octave, A minor, E minor, and D minor scales (natural and harmonic minor), motive and sequence, all 12 major and minor triads, triad inversions, syncopation, and introduction to sixteenth notes.
