Student Recital August 1, 2008
CinCyr School of Voice and Music held its first student recital on August 1, 2008. Everyone did a fantastic job!

Stewart Cassel performed piano selections Shining Stars and Roman Trumpets
from the Adult Piano Adventures book by Randall and Nancy Faber. He also
performed selections Autumn in New York by Vernon Duke and Rhapsody on a
Theme of Paganini in A minor, Opus 43 by Rachmaninoff from the Clavinova
Connection Class.
Leo Zapata performed piano selections Morning, from "Peer Gynt" by Edvard
Grieg, the Bette Midler's hit song, The Rose, as well as Half Time Band by
Nancy and Randall Faber.
Cynthia Zapata performed piano selections Ode to Joy, from Ludwig van
Beethoven's "Ninth Symphony", Morning, from "Peer Gynt" by Edvard Grieg,
as well as 3 variations on Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star (Jane Taylor / Mozart)
plus her own creative variation to the famous piece as well.
Mary McGuire performed piano selections My Funny Valentine by Richard
Rodgers & Lorenz Hart from the Broadway show "Babes in Arms" (1937), and
Piano Concerto No. 2, 3rd Movement by Rachmaninoff from the Clavinova
Connection Class. In addition to that, Mary performed vocal selections Hey
There from "The Pajama Game" (1954) and The Way You Look Tonight from
"Swing Time" (1937).
After the recital we all went out to eat pizza at Star Pizza celebrating all of my STARS! I am so proud of all of you!
